Summer Camp Programs

We currently offer 3 Summer Camp Programs at Sunshine Acres:

Children's Summer Camp Program

This program is designed to provide needy children between the ages of 8 and 12 with an opportunity to enjoy a Christian camping experience. Children are selected by representatives from supporting Baptist Churches located in Brooklyn and Long Island.

Young Teen Week

This program is designed for teens between the ages of 13 and 15. This group begins the summer with intensive hikes, canoe trips and sports activities. They are also spiritually challenged through God's Word and expected to live a life acceptable unto Him. This program is open to all and children do not need to be selected by a representative.

Family Camper Week

This program is for children between the ages of 8 and 15 years old and is meant to provide an opportunity for children who are not needy to experience Sunshine Acres without ‘taking a seat on the bus’ that another child might need.  When dropping off their child, parents are invited to stay for lunch and take a tour of the camp.

All sessions are approximately 8-10 days.
